Swing dancing is a type dancing that was first popularized in the early 20th century and has had a recent resurgence in interest. Our older Mensans might remember Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, Sugar Push, Shag, and other dances which are all now called "Swing Dancing". The dance will include a lesson in West Coast Swing (also known as Sugar Push) at 7:30 p.m. and then social dancing from approximately 8:30 p.m. until roughly 2:00 a.m. The dance is held at the Blake Elder Dance Studio located at: 4854 White Settlement Road Fort Worth, Texas 76114 Check the Calendar for the date of the next party! |
