Mensa 76

We have a new location and meeting day/time!

Due to student commitments for the use of the space at Texas Wesleyan, we needed to find a new location to meet. We will now be meeting at the new George W. Hawkes Downtown Library in Arlington. Along with that news we will also be meeting on the third Saturday of each month at 9:30 am from now on.

Wichita Falls Area Mensans

Would you like to socialize with other Mensans in your area on a regular basis? The Denton area Mensans have enjoyed a weekly coffee and food gathering for years at a local coffee shop. You may have noticed HOTDAM (Hang Out Together with Denton Area Mensans) in our newsletter calendar. They sometimes do other activities also such as museum visits and tours. You could do the same in your area. Weekly/monthly lunches/dinners might also be considered. If any of you are interested in trying to set up a Wichita Falls Area group, we need someone to be the local point of contact. If you want to be that contact please notify me at s.alsup(at)

You also have enough members in your areas to make this a viable option.

Granbury Area Mensans Social
(Granbury, Cleburne, Stephenville, Weatherford and surrounding area)

Jason Wrinkle, a new member of Mensa 76 residing in Stephenville, is interested in starting an area subgroup for members in Granbury, Cleburne, Stephenville, Weatherford and surrounding areas with a goal of having monthly social activities with other Mensa 76 members in the local area thereby providing shorter travel times. This could also provide an opportunity for carpooling to activities farther from home.

Jason has started contacting local members and will continue to make contact with those who have allowed American Mensa to provide their contact information.

ason has volunteered to be the contact point and can be reached at jason.wrinkle(at) or telephone 254-433-8137. He has also formed a facebook group which you can join at NOTE: Jason has already proposed an initial meeting with details subject to change as detailed on the subgroup's facebook page.

Mensa 76 is the official branch of American Mensa for Fort Worth, Texas and the surrounding area (almost all parts of Texas with zip codes starting with "76"). Here is a map of Mensa 76's coverage.

Mensa 76 hosts a variety of events to encourage social connections with other Mensans and help stimulate the minds of our members. Non-members are welcome to attend events to meet local Mensans, learn what Mensa is about, and get a feel for the local chapter before joining.
